Olamide Ayodeji, Nigerian hip-hop recording artist from Bariga, Lagos State is known for his indigenous raps that have gained him popularity over the years.

Born to a Muslim family, he welcomed his first son, Batifeori Maximiliano Adedeji in February this year. His son’s naming ceremony was graced by the former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola and some other notable Muslim faithfuls.
2. Wizkid
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, known widely as Wizkid is a Muslim born artiste, who kicked off his musical career at the age of 11.

In one of his interviews with world famous DJ Tim Westwood, Weezy confirmed that his father is married to three wives and he is the last among six children. The singer is a force to reckon with in the entertainment industry with loads of endorsements, Glo being the latest.

Remilekun Kaleed Safaru aka Reminisce is an award-winning Muslim rap star, from Ogun State. In one of his interviews, the rapper once revealed the reason behind him choosing the name ‘Reminisce’

When I was going to choose a name, I was going to use my Muslim name, Kaleed but it didn’t sound hip-hop-friendly. I was looking for a name close to my first name, so I thought of “Reminisce” and it was cool. Reminisce is still basking in the success of his latest album, Babahafusa.

Olanrewaju Fasasi better known as Sound Sultan is a Nigerian born Muslim singer, married to a Christian wife, Chichi Morah. In one of his interviews on whether he converted his wife to Islam, Sound Sultan stated that he never forced her to embrace Islam, but it was her love for the religion that made her to swap her religious belief.

In His words, “No one forces anyone to do a religion. It’ just happened that she married me and she really…really was in love with the religion herself.”
The award winning artiste is a U.N peace Ambassador, Oxfam Ambassador Africa and MTN Ambassador.

Controversial Nigerian rapper, Eedris Abdukareem is known for his hit album Jaga Jaga which was released in 2004, under Kennis Music. It’s title track, which laments the corruption and suffering in Nigeria, was banned from radio airplay by Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo in a televised address, although it continued to be played in nightclubs.

Eedris is a Muslim rapper, born to a polygamous family in Kano state.

Born to a Muslim family in Fagge Local Government Area of Kano state, Sani is one of the most celebrated all round entertainers to ever emerge from northern Nigeria.

He is currently the UN Peace Ambassador, Rotary International Ambassador, Save the Children Ambassador, Rhythm N’ Play Ambassador, Globacom Ambassador and National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) Ambassodor.
